The patient support specialist serves patients by providing health related information, scheduling appointments, addressing patient inquiries and resolving patient service problems. Other duties may be assigned from time to time.
Duties and Tasks:
Confer with patients by telephone to provide information about health related information, to schedule or cancel appointments, or to obtain details.
Interacting with Computers — Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to set up functions, enter data, or process information.
Communication – Talking to others to convey information effectively as well as giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
